Early Start Programs
Early Learners Program
Preparing children for school – and life
This small group – for children aged 18 months to 4 years – focuses on classroom readiness, motor skills, social skills, play skills, and other key behaviours. While our Early Learners groups teach young children how to communicate and play with their peers, we also focus on giving parents at-home strategies.
Each session will focus on specific goals to increase communication, play, and engagement, while keeping the child-to-teacher ratio small. A typical 3:1 ratio of children to educators allows for more attention and focus on your child and their needs.
The program is developed and supervised by an Occupational Therapist and an Applied Behaviour Analyst (ABA) therapist.
Three days a week from 9 am to 12 pm. Attendance all three days is required.
Parent and Tot Program
Based on Proven Models, With Added Warmth
This early stimulation group is based on the Early Start Denver Model designed for families with a child between the ages of 18 months and 3 years. Our goal? Offer parents strategies and teach them how to respond to their child’s needs across daily activities.
Our sessions are led by a behaviour therapist and an Occupational Therapist, and run weekly in groups of four to six children – parents included. The structure is designed to follow an established routine, with each session including free-play, circle time, snacks, gross motor activity, and sensory activity.
This program will provide parents with tools to stimulate their child’s development while helping their child develop communication, language, and play skills.
